Education @ OM: Introducing Eden

Eden 31 5 2017 2

The ever-busy Otago Museum Education Team has expanded its ranks recently, with the addition of Eden Gray. Previously working solely in the role of Science Communicator, Eden has now taken on a dual role between both the Education Team, and Programmes & Science Engagement Team.

Last year she completed her Master of Wildlife Management degree at the University of Otago, where she focused on the conservation and management of local yellow-eyed penguin populations. Since joining the Otago Museum team, Eden has gained experience presenting science-based shows to members of the public, and assisting with husbandry of the Museum’s living environments.

She now spends two days of her week within the Education Team, where she is busy teaching classes, developing new gallery-related programmes, and delivering current Museum education content. Eden has been working alongside us for just shy of two months now, and has been loving the new variety and experience. Life is good!
