Auckland Island rail, Rallus pectoralis muelleri, AV261

Study skin of a small rail, with its body straight, the wings loosely at either side, the head turned toward its PL side and the legs straight but turned toward its PL side. Appears to have been mounted this way for display purposes: has glass eyes and has some red paint on the abdominal feathers and legs.
