Physical Description

Pelican mounted in a flat-footed standing position on a wooden base. Wings are folded back against its body, and head is facing forward. Beak is slightly open.

Provenance

Taxidermist hired to mend damage sustained in gallery incident. Skin rehydrated, 3 splits in neck resewn and reinforcing rod inserted into neck for stabilisation [details taken from Order M24418] Max Wilson Mosgiel
