Physical Description
A stylise head with paua eye insets carved in relief within the confines of a object for practical use. Bowl heat/fire damaged at rear of head where joined to butt end which is also partially broken.
Research Notes
The accession record states the pipe belonged to "Honi" Heke. This may be the same rangatira as the renowned warrior cheif Hone Heke of Nga Puhi. —Mr Mat Ellison
