Physical Description

An aluminium(?) pin with a conical diamond shaped head has been inserted into a short cylindrical section of a plant stem (bamboo/cane?). The cylindrical section is of a natural light yellow colour, painted on each end with geometrical patterns of green, yellow, and purple. General appearance is that they are unused.

Research Notes

Would be consistent with donor's description of being from Maiduguri, Bornu Province, Northeastern Nigeria. Bamboo/cane(?) & metal (aluminium?). Hairpin(?).
