Physical Description
Wooden funnel for calabash. Circular, flares slightly to rim. Undecorated on lip on internally. Externally decorated with raised ridges, curved and straight with 'toothed' chevron pattern(whakarare) between. Ridge around base for fitting onto gourd. Perforated at base in 3 places (equidistant). One contains coil of flax fibre. Varnished at some point.
