Brass Buddhist female figure; seated. Left leg forms a half Lotus position. Left arm positioned in front of left breast. Hand held in symbolic position, thumb holding end two fingers while middle two are raised. Right leg bent at knee extending down from throne the figure sits on. Right arm rests on leg, hand shown palm outwards. Figure wears much ornament, an elaborate headdress. A "Green" Tara figure; the goddess figure of Tantric Buddhism. Probably Tibetan in origin (or Nepalese)
