Physical Description

Plain, unornamented, very well finished canoe bailer, made from a radial slab from a large diameter rimu (Dacrydium cupressinum). The interior of the scoop is in two discrete sections, a narrow (185mm), shallow (28mm) front, and a wide (32 5mm), deep (70mm) back section. It appears to have been made with steel tools.
