Permian Monsters

Paid admission

Step back 290 million years when bizarre-looking animals dominated life on land and sea. This unique international touring exhibition brings the past back to life with fossilised skeletons and life-sized animatronic models of the animals that ruled the world in a time known as the Permian era.
Bring your school or class in for a close-up encounter with the creatures that roamed our world in the age before the dinosaurs. Who were these creatures? What were their lives like? And how do we know about them? Spice up your visit with a visit to the Perpetual Guardian Planetarium to explore the fossil record and how fossils were formed.
Life before Dinosaurs: Permian Monsters is open 26 August 2017 – 25 February 2018
