Drop in to Discovery World to investigate some phenomenal everyday science applications. Join our Science Communicators throughout the day to discover how electricity works in your body, what happens to objects in space, and much more.
New this year, celebrate the natural world by capturing a video of wildlife in action. Take unique shots of animals or plants, highlight environmental issues or the spirit of conservation and enter your best still or moving images in the Otago Wildlife Photography Competition to be in to win great prizes from Jonathan’s Photo Warehouse.

Search Centre Activity
Meet some of the world's unexplained and fantastical animals. Drop into the Search Centre to find out about cryptozoology (the study of and search for unbelievable beasts) and use your knowledge to solve the case of the Loch Ness Monster.

Discovery World scientists make the unbelievable believable with the world’s best science demos. They’ll hold fire, freeze your breath, make the visible invisible and present a changing line-up of their favourite science experiments that will blow you away.
