In celebration of Wild Dunedin, come meet Manawa our moko kākāriki (jewelled gecko) at the Otago Museum. A living treasure, Manawa is the most well-travelled endemic gecko in Aotearoa, and symbolic of Dunedin’s unique and beautiful wildlife.

Join us to learn about the unique characteristics and cultural significance of moko kākāriki as we tell the story of Manawa and his epic travels.
