Physical Description
A hanger. Hilt - Brass with simple knuckle bow and down-turned quillon. A brass stud on the left side actuates a small retaining clip. Grip of leather covered wood, ribbed. The number 174 appears on the top of the quillon. Blade is single edged, curved, tapering only slightly to the point. A shallow, fuller runs the length of the blade. No blade markings. Scabbard - Black leather with brass mouthpiece and chape. On the left side there is a stud on the mouthpiece for a frog.
