Physical Description

Hand driven spinning wheel made from rough hewn pieces of wood nailed or strapped together with hide. Base is V shaped, with the drive wheel at the widest point and bobbin at the narrowest end. Drive wheel has eight spokes, each of which terminates in a strut. Struts are joined together at each end with twisted hide. Small bobbin. Separate long, flat piece of wood.
