Jug, F70.134

Oval shaped jug with scalloped edge and fluted surface. Pewter lid which has a linear relief which echoes the painted leaf decoration on the body. Lid has a small decorated handle to aid lifting. The body of the jug is predominantly white with leaves painted within the confines of each flute edged with a metallic gold outline. The mouth edge is bordered with the same dark green in the leaves with a gold highlight. There is a relief decoration of spiral shapes in this area. Handle is dark green with gold filigree decoration. At the base of the jug is a small half circle area with a repeating linear indentation giving it a shell-like appearance which is mirrored on the opposite side.
