For a holiday full of fun and excitement, sign your kids up for Discovery Squad at the Otago Museum. Offering awesome themed activities, Discovery Squad activates and stimulates young minds.

 

Whole day sessions: $52 per child, 8.30am–5.30pm; half day sessions: $29 per child, 8.30am–1pm or 1pm–5.30pm; 10% discount when booking all 9 days.

Guided Children's Activity

Meet Manu the Moa and join our lone bird ranger on a tour of the Otago Museum's mighty moa collection. Learn about the exciting exploits of New Zealand's largest birds and make a colourful moa diorama to take home.

Orokonui Excursion

Master moving and still images at Orokonui Ecosanctuary, the most protected forest in the South Island. Head guide Sue Hensley will introduce the visit, and local experts Gregor Richardson (Otago Daily Times photographer) and Steve Ting (wildlife film-maker) will be on hand with advice on how to shoot winning wildlife photographs and footage.
