NASA Astronaut Public Talk

NASA Astronaut Col (Retired) Rex Walheim is Assistant Director of Operations in the Flight Operations Directorate. He is NASA's astronaut representative to the Orion Program, which is developing the next spacecraft to take humans farther into space than they’ve ever gone before.

Walheim talks about the challenges of spaceflight, from flight training to walking in zero gravity, and the development of NASA's new Commercial Crew vehicles that will take astronauts to the International Space Station.
