Physical Description

Saddleback mounted in a perching position on a branch, with its wings folded back against its body, its tail out and its head turned toward its PL side.

Field Collection

Details from the Banding office are as follows: The Saddleback was banded on 17/06/1965 on Big South Cape, Stewart Island and liberated on Inner Chetwode Island, Marlborough Sounds on 14/07/1965.
Recovery details, say that it died on 19/09/1968. Unsure exactly where it died, but it is marked as 'alive/died in captivity'.
