Magnificent riflebird, Ptiloris magnificus, AV1249

Physical Description

Two-perch mount with two birds on it. This specimen is the male, a black iridescent bird with long curved beak and short tail, mounted in a sitting position on a perch, with folded back against its body. Head is facing forward and body is leaning forward to that the tail is pointing up. Has some long loosely-barbed tail feathers that hang down under the tail.
