Magnificent bird of paradise, Diphyllodes magnificus, AV1348

Physical Description

Two-perch mount with two birds on it. This specimen is the male, a flamboyant looking bird. Its wings are folded back against its body. Mounted in a lowered standing position on the upper perch. Body is leaning forward so that it is tilted with head down, beak pointing up and tail held up. Has two iridescent single-thread tail feathers that stick straight up then curve around.
