Physical Description

Mutu kaka. Wooden, made in one piece. Upright carved with human face, shaped on bottom. Cross bar oval section with 4 sets of 2 notches. End carved with bird head. Cord & quill end with some feathers attached through parallel holes in corner of mouth of head and through mouth of ngutu kaka mouth on end of perch. Hole also through forehead by which woven chord is attached via noose.
