Hei Tiki, D29.888

Nephrite/pounamu hei tiki, inanga variety, pale green. High translucency, Westland source. original perforation broken out and new perforation at centre top made using metal abrasive core drill. Been made by drilling a series of holes, chevrons on back of the head. Mouth small and slightly angled.Head turned to left and jaw pointed. Very unusual to have holes drilled on back on top of front eyes.
