Inro, Netsuke, D30.1015

Four compartment inro, black lacquer background with inset mother-of-pearl and gold, green and grey/purple design depicting grasses and flowers and insects, flies, butterflies and grasshoppers resting on them. Almost square in shape, elliptical in cross-section. Black cord to white with black ceramic ojime netsuke is in form of red lacquer lidded box (fixed) carved in relief with landscape pattern. Inro only signed.
