Physical Description

Japanese polearm (naginata). Long curved single edged blade. Double fuller each side, filled with red lacquer. Copper habaki and seppa. Long black lacquered ridged wooden shaft. Gold lacquered plaited ring on shaft. Three gold painted or lacquered decorations on shaft. Two quadrangular, one circular. Curved wooden scabbard with mon in shape of central ?flower shape surrounded by five circles.
