Tsuba, F46.495
Physical Description
Almost round iron tsuba. Decorated on obverse with a pair of geese (?) in high relief flying over a stream bordered by reeds inlaid in gold and copper. On reverse a crescent moon peeks through clouds above pine trees (?) inlaid in gold and silver or shakudo (alloy of gold and copper). Pierced for kozuka and kogai. Central hole for tang has been plugged at both ends with copper. Inscription.
