Physical Description

Cavalry Trooper's sword, 1853 pattern of the British army with steel scabbard, blade slightly curved, square backed with single broad fuller. Blade marks "Robt Mole & Sons" on left of blade and crown over B on right of blade. This is a government view mark (B = Birmingham). Hilt - steel, three-barred with hole for sword knot, black leather grip held to full tang width by five rivets.
Scabbard of pressed steel.
