Bowl, Lid, F71.12

Physical Description

Brass container large and round in shape with lid and handles. Body of container is decorated with lightly incised drawings of vases of flowers, decorated pots with shrubs and bells. Corroded on surface on some areas of the body. Handles are attached to the body by a flower-shaped piece with a design of a butterfly on it. Two handles, attached on both sides; decorated with a swirly design. Around rim of lid patterns of plants and flowers broken by a recurring design pattern. Top of lid elaborately patterned with flower and star shapes. Large round motif in the middle of a flowering plant. Lid carved out so can see through it.
