Physical Description
Carved wooden figure seated in the position of 'royal ease'. Figure is sitting on a rough wooden throne with an umbrella or canopy rising above figure. A small bird is shown on one side of the throne. The figure holds a black sutra roll in their left hand with another standing at their elbow. Figure dressed in long robes with a hood worn over the head. Hair piled high on head. The robes are painted gold with a red trim, the hair and 'throne' are black and the face, chest and arms are an orange/pink. The wood of this figure has been covered with a fabric or paper which has then been painted. A hand-written note is pasted to the bottom.
