Sword, Scabbard, F80.226

Physical Description

British Infantry officers 1822 pattern Sword, as modified in 1845. Blade slightly curved & round backed, single edged with wide and shallow fuller. 'Gothic' style curved hilt, fish skin grip. Somewhat damaged leather sword knot is still in place. Scabbard of black leather with steel mouthpiece. chape missing; no attachments for carrying the sword present.
