Physical Description

Circular plate with a flat base with a flared flange. Has a rounded rim. Potters stamp on the base. Base is unglazed. Outside flange has a clear semi-gloss on it, has a few iron specks from the clay body. Inside of the plate is also clear glaze but has been painted with wax resist, then a red/brown glaze has been put over top. It has white brush stroke designs in the centre, framed by a white line, and a white line around the rim. Patches of darker brown on the base and around the flange. Also a patch of yellow/green.
