Common spider conch, Lambis truncata, IV11058

Physical Description

Large spider conch. The spines along the mouth are slightly open, and the outer surfaces of the shell have a thin layer of periostracum which is light brown coloured and is fragile. The inner surface of the shell is shiny and white.
