Golden lion tamarin, Leontopithecus rosalia, VT2461

Physical Description

Primate with long golden hair, long phalanges and a long thin tail mounted in a standing position on a branch. Specimen is standing on the branch with all fingers and toes flat except the PR forelimb which has them curled under into a relaxed fist. The body is hunched with the head held up and turned toward its PR side. The tail is hanging down in a loose J-shaped curve toward the head. Is on a historic base.
