Your Brain’s Ability to Learn and Adapt to Change by Reorganising Itself
The neuronal circuits in the brain that are laid down in the first few years of life are modified by experience and the environment throughout childhood and adolescence.
During this talk, Professor John Rostas, University of Newcastle, Australia, and Brain Research New Zealand board member explains how this capacity for reorganisation – neuroplasticity – persists in the adult brain and is responsible for our continued ability to learn and our capacity to compensate for recovery from brain injury.
